The day includes: A traditional Asado menu including delicious Argentine barbecued beef, spit-roasted lamb, Argentine recipe chorizos (served as the traditional Chori-pan) and Morcilla (black pudding), barbeque Chicken,  a variety of salads, fruit and coffee.

Also available to purchase on the day will be a cantina selling a selection of fine Argentine wines, Quilmes beer and soft drink and stalls with a range of Argentine products including favorites such as alfajores, empanadas, dulce de leche, and ice cream.

But it is not all just about food and drink! Also included in the day will be entertainment including live music, Tango dancers and singers, the now legendary Luis Segas, and no Anglo or Argentine event would be complete without a football tournament – with teams including The Anglo-Argentine Society (current cup holders), The Hurucan FC London, The Anglo-Portuguese Society and the Anglo-Brazilian Society.

The Asado is a great way to catch up with old friends and meet new ones in a fun picnic environment so don’t forget to bring your own cutlery and plates and anything else you need to complete your table!

Tickets are available to buy now at £25 for members, tickets sold on the day will be £35. There will be strict entry controls this year so please purchase your tickets in advance to guarantee entry at the reduced rate – all arrivals on the day without tickets will need to purchase them to get entry. Wrist bands will be issued on entry and need to be worn.

It is our pleasure to invite you to the exclusive Latin American Golf Day which will take place at West Surrey Golf Club on Thursday 28th June 2012.

The main trophy, the splendid, silver Ambassadors’ Cup, was presented by the Ambassadors of Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico in 1950, and has been competed for every year since then, making this, 2012, the 63rd year. Last year’s winner, representing the Anglo Brazilian Society, was Rudolf Bissolotti. We will also be competing for The Rose Bowl, which will go to the highest scoring member of the Anglo Argentine Society, the Jangara ditto the Anglo Brazilian Society, The Chile Cup, ditto the Anglo Chilean Society, the Sharkey Cup for the highest placed Lady, and finally the “LOS DEMAS”, presented by Lan Chile, for the highest points scorer.

The par-71 course is in a beautiful parkland setting and maintained to a very high standard.

The cost for the day will be £65.00 for coffee (from 8am), golf and lunch. The fee for a WSGC member, or for lunch only, will be £25.00.
