‘San Martín and his Memories’, a talk by Tomás Hudson
The talk by Tommy Hudson was extremely well-attended, and took place at St Peter’s Church Hall in Eaton Square, marking the first event the Society has ever held at this new venue following the closure of Canning House. The event was a great success, and the audience was spell bound by the surrounding history of this great man and the way it was so professionally delivered. The talk was indeed fascinating to all in the audience, and gave a very detailed chapter in the history of Argentina. This was followed by a very interesting Q & A session that was very eloquently answered in depth by Tommy Hudson, who expounded his well-researched and amazing grasp of anecdotal history surrounding San Martin. This was followed by a lively social discussion afterwards. The evening was complemented by some delightful Argentine wines and wonderful empanadas kindly donated by “Chango Empanadas”.
